Tail gas analyzer ASYS PRO

Technical details Analyzed gases Questionary

Typical applications

Gas analyzers ASYS PRO are designed to automatically control the volume fraction of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) in process gases. Gas analyzers are used to monitor the mentioned above components in sulfur recovery units (Claus units) and sulfur pits at the petrochemical, oil refining, gas processing, metallurgical and other industries.
Purpose:
- Measurement of H2S and SO2 content in tail gas;
- Calculation of air demand (over/under) in elemental sulfur plants (excess air ratio in sulfur treatment plants, Claus principle).

Measuring principle

The analyzer is made according to a two-cabinet scheme: the electronics and control devices are located in a separate (left cabinet) at normal temperature; right cabinet is a heat-insulated one with a measuring cell, a demister, an ejector, cutoff valves and other necessary elements.

The principle of operation of the gas analyzer is based on a continuous photometric measuring of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the process gas stream.

To remove the sulfur vapors, a demister (separator or mist/fog eliminator, with controlled cooling temperature) is provided in the analyzer, in which sulfur vapors condense and partially flow back into the stream and partially are removing by steam blowing.

Features of ASYS PRO analyzer
- No sampling lines;
- Automatic control of sample flow rate;
- Easily dismountable demister;
- Multi-zone temperature control;
- Self-diagnostics;
